I'm always at my funniest when it's unintentional.

"Blood Meridian" is the best, but if you find yourself having trouble with it, maybe try "No Country For Old Men".  Although it's not his best book, I still like it a lot, and it's less dense than BM.  Then again, you've already read "The Road", so you may be completely used to his style by now.

Oh wow.  I'm sold.  That sounds awesome.  I'm assuming it works okay with the Steam version?  I'll look into it, thanks.

Are you the same person who was telling me about Stainless Steel previously?  Is it just a mod to make the units look better, or is there more to it?

I finished the last two episodes of Rectify, which was excellent.  Excited for the second season.  Also watched the tenth and eleven episodes of Arrested Development's fourth season, which has improved somewhat after a rough start.

Just piling on with the love for Boris, but they are awesome.  Pretty all over the place, though, so you might want to do some research on where to start.  Can't really go wrong with "Pink" and then branch out from there.

Have you seen EitS live?  I ask because I'll be seeing them open for NIN later this year.

Yeah, I knew it was going to look that way, but I really did just finish season one for the first time.  Plan on getting through the rest of the show before the end of the year.  Other than "Killing Them Softly" it's basically the only thing I've ever seen Gandolfini in, and it I was incredibly impressed with him.

I just finished season one of The Sopranos for the first time.  Really sad to hear he's passed away.

Yeah, it's looking like there's a very good possibility he'll just keep acting out until NBC decides it isn't worth the hassle, fires him again, and possibly just cancels the show entirely.

Yep, I have that checked out from the library and sitting at home.  I should start it fairly soon.  Glad to hear it's worth the read.

Half copied from elsewhere:

If it would mean receiving a free supply of the aforementioned items, I'll gladly take on that role for you for a day.

Ribs, cigars, scotch, and blues records?  I'm celebrating Father's Day with you next year.

Finished reading both Band of Brothers and the 33 1/3 series entry on David Bowie's "Low" album.  BoB was a good pop history book, and Low was maybe the best entry into the 33 1/3 series that I've read (although it's only the fourth or fifth one).

I guess, if anyone, it was my older brother.  He got me into some great music like Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, STP, and the Foo Fighters in the early-to-mid-90s.  I've long since surpassed him in my fervor for music (I highly doubt he'd know who The Replacements or Pixies are, for example) but he's the one who got me

Look on the bright side:  Honduras is now the murder capital of the world, so things could have been much worse.

I'm exaggerating, but there's plenty of times that major bands come no closer than Cleveland, Indy, or even Chicago.  Just happy that I won't have to drive anywhere.

Woohoo, someone good is actually coming to Cincinnati!

@avclub-52883377da5367bc9205062d52c08dbc:disqus  I wasn't sure if you were serious, so I had to look it up.  Sadly, "Benedict Timothy Carlton Cumberbatch" isn't quite as British-y, but it's still solid.
