Yeah, I agree with @avclub-6b8aa777ed70e7f15a45947a0f0c5986:disqus about Sybil's death — DA is full of historically relevant heartbreaks like this. Lavinia's (existence and) death, on the other hand . . .

Dude is too chub and bland to do much, let's be real. Mentalist guy hits the superficial bases but is also charming and charismatic — I've found stuff watchable because of him that otherwise wouldn't be.

Genuinely curious what you think "a good story" would have been. Given Stevens' shitty acting throughout the season, I'm glad they didn't do a real storyline for him or expect me to feel anything about his ludicrous sudden death.

[spoilers?]

UH, SPOILERS? (Not really.) The way they handle him for the rest of the season is really interesting and confusing at the same time.

Just caught episode 2 as a Friday repeat and am totally charmed. AGREE

Now I'm more upset than ever that they killed him off on Bones to free him for Alphas. Why so final??

I am watching that scene now and I wouldn't say WEEPING exactly but like, it's close.

She's being heck of ballsy and self possessed and awesome in these episodes so far. I love it even more compared to the wishy-washy "I want him more than the job" shtick last season.

RAY, always more Ray.

I guess you missed the part where even fans of the show vocally thought it kind of sucked for like two seasons prior to this. Also, if you don't like it a lot as it is right now, you just don't like it, which is fine, so why watch?

Theeese are the jokes.

Oh you are so correct about that. Good point.

How did they write such irredeemable horseshit for Pamela Adlon to do? I guess I'm angry about it.

Max seems to embody a lot of awful modern child attitudes on top of his Asperger's and that's what makes him so intolerable for me. Ignoring his parents while he plays video games for literally hours at a time, repeatedly letting the dog piss in the house instead of taking it out because he's so busy playing video
