For about 3/4 of the show, I was guessing the Tommy twist would be that he was a counter-alpha working for the other side and disinhibiting Nina, rather than the real Tommy. (Too much Dark Phoenix resonance, I guess). The actual twist was much better, and Tommy confronting Nina in the hospital room was great.
