After sticking it out until the end of season 3, I decided to finally give up on SHIELD. It's clear at this point that they aren't ever going to manage anything better than being "watchable" most of the time. And they never got me to like Daisy/Skye, no matter how much they developed her personality and powers.

Yeah, this is a really weird pivot for the show. But I guess Marvel's delay of the Inhumans movie completely threw off their long game timeline there, so they kind of have to do something else for a while.

Except Mace Tyrell is her son, not her husband. These people, sheesh!

Davos was illiterate, not Stannis.

Nah, Ted Cruz is Roose Bolton.

Snowden might be the strangest movie to panel at Comic-Con since End of Watch a few years back.

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of "Accidntel Death", too. I revisited More Adventurous a while back for the first time in years and I had forgotten how great it was.

But to not include arguably (I would argue that it absolutely is) their best song seems like a poor introduction to the world of Rilo Kiley. "Oh yeah, and if these songs mostly work for you, you should also look into listening to their best song!" Otherwise this was a very interesting list.

Well, he's starting to get more authors, politicians, and people of note as guests, which is a lot more entertaining than watching him say, "It is truly an honor to be doing this interview with you, someone I have idolized in comedy/grew up watching on tv" yet again to start a conversation.

I had a lot of time on my hands as a kid.

This is the bit where I brag about actually having beaten Ghosts'n'Goblins on the original NES, even though you had to go through the whole game twice to fully finish it.

If you're a Descendents fan and you have yet to see Filmage, you should rectify that ASAP. It is a really tremendous rock doc.

Yeah, I love both Revenge and Everything Sucks. The latter essentially strips away all the more musically experimental stuff latter-day Descendents and ALL were doing for a straight-ahead punk album. It's more like an album full of "She's My Ex", "Bubble Gum", "Carnage", and "Fool" without the in-between songs. It's

One of three albums I was super-excited to buy on September 11, 2001 (Ben Folds- Rockin' the Suburbs and They Might Be Giants- Mink Car were the other two). I was not nearly as excited on that day, as it turned out, but it did help me get through the evening.

I dig "Anchor Grill", too, as a good example of what Stevenson can do with a love song when he's on his game.

Technically, he was doing graduate work. I've always considered "This Place Sucks" to be a rant about his time in Madison at the University of Wisconsin.

Yeah, I'll go to bat for Goldfinger's first three albums, personally. They weren't my favorite punk band of the early 90's, but they did some solid, fun stuff with pretty strong songwriting. But after that Feldmann went vegan and started writing songs about how much everyone who wasn't vegan sucked. It's sad that he

I would say I'm really going to miss her since she was the best correspondent (or second best, depending on your opinion of Jordan Klepper) they had, but lately she's been on about as often as Al Madrigal or Aasif Mandvi were in Stewart's last couple years.

Jennifer Salke seems to be unaware that the Michael J. Fox show aired its entire season and had plenty of time to find its footing.

Mark Brandanowicz, people. Jeez!
