It has comedic portions, for sure, but is also way more cavalier about the deaths of not just people, but actual characters. It's a well-made film that's a lot of fun, but that cavalier attitude kind of gives it a queasy undertone that I'm not sure is intentional.

I liked the second one as much as the first one. Which was a whole hell of a lot.

Yeah, I was a little surprised at that long introduction where The Intercept interviewers basically come right out and say, "We think Serial is a terrible podcast and Sarah Koenig is entirely full of shit and the case was solid and there's no actual story here."

I took it as "Use a male chimp", personally. And it amused me greatly.

If you can get past the sadness that most people still seem to feel about his untimely death, Elliot Smith's excellent-sounding yet extremely shy and a bit uncomfortable performance of "Miss Misery" in '98 is worth watching.

C'mon, The Lonely Island's stream of consciousness list of random things that are awesome is…pretty awesome.

Oh, that's right! In my mind, Ray went back to Tampa and resumed his life as Bobby Cobb, since we never saw him killed.

Yeah, I gotta say I thought the second season was improved by quite a bit over season 1. And I liked season 1. They deftly maneuvered away from the silly final scene of season 1 with Marco wanting to go into prison. They earned big points for me simply by backing out of that.

Yeah, this has been public information for a long time. Maybe not common knowledge, but he's definitely talked about it before now.

Lights Out. One of the few FX shows I didn't ever get around to watching.

This has easily been my favorite new comedy of 2014 and I really hope John Landgraf brings it back for season 2. It is so, so good.
