I forget where I read this (Bill Simmons? Alan Sepinwall?), but whomever it was made a good suggestion - newbies should watch with closed captions on. I haven't done it myself, but I imagine it would help a lot in terms of keeping characters straight.

What show were you watching? Creed was a momentum-killer for roughly the entire mid-period of the show's run. He was the worst part of seasons 3-5, because the writers bought into everyone who thought that he was underused. He basically turned into the Office's version of Quagmire.

We actually watched this my sophomore year of high school as part of a Shakespeare segment. In retrospect, I went to a pretty progressive high school.
