That's what a Nielsen box looks like? I thought that was an Intellivision.

It was Robbed.

It's called "Nielsen eh?"

Conan O'Brien?

Oh I know. But that's just how badass I am. Almost as badass as Pablo Escobar, who was depicted in the film "Medellin", starring Vincent Chase and directed by Billy Walsh. Guest cameos include an upside-down chicken.

Poor Mandy Moore. She's really struggled to find any good work since "Aquaman", starring Vincent Chase and directed by James Cameron.

Well that's the second Black Eyed Peas song that has found its way on Hatesong. Whats the over/under, Johnny?

He really is. This eulogy is pretty fantastic.

I was legitimately worried when I saw O'Neal was going to write the eulogy, but now I'm wondering how it would have turned out if he wrote it in his usual, snarky way.

I've always loved the two first songs of "Blonde on Blonde". First you have "Rainy Day Women #12 and #35", a totally goofy stoner anthem, then you have "Pledging My Time", a monstrous blues jam. I don't think I've ever heard two songs that are so drastically apart complement each other so well.

I am re-reading "V." right now and can safely say that it's much more enjoyable the second time around. There are definitely some moments where I'm looking ahead to see where the chapter ends, but there are a lot more moments where all the ironic intricacies of the plot and characters shine through the mess than the

I know Li Mu Bai died in Crouching Tiger, but hopefully Chow-Yun Fat finds a way to get back in this.

I haven't gotten to see the movie yet, but I got through about 250 pages of the book before I became aware how ham-fisted Mitchell's writing really is. It's a shame too, because it came with praise from writers like Dave Eggers, who is definitely not ham-fisted at all.

…driving would-be collectors to try their luck on the black market, then immediately regret saying “black market."
Bravo, O'Neal, bravo.

See I was in middle school when all this was going on. My college years consisted of Psy, Carly Rae Jepsen, LMFAO, and Mumford and Sons. I shudder to think if one day those people are not seen as important!

Ok maybe The White Stripes were a bad example, but even they didn't get big until White Blood Cells in 2001. And like Grammys are really good barometers for musical success; Icky Thump was by far their worst album.

It's amazing how fast The Strokes have fallen. I remember back in 2003 or so, after the 1-2 punch of Is This It and and Room on Fire, they were at the very top of the indie rock world. Ten years later, them and all the other bands that came in around that time (Interpol, Arctic Monkeys, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, White Stripes)

She has too much face for her head. Other than that she's fine. See: Love and Other Drugs.

Damn, I thought for sure she was going to be Oedipa Maas in P.T.A.'s adaptation of "The Crying of Lot 49". Turns out it's some crappy play about beating women instead!

That album cover kind of reminds me of Nevermind, except for the corny lettering, the green slime, and the giant mosquito stinging the naked baby in the anus.
