Why do you all get so bent out of shape whenever someone dares imply that this might not be such a great show, after all? It's certainly very formulaic, very rom-com-esque in its weaker moments. It's not nearly as "edgy" as it thinks it is, except for the fact that its characters are almost universally unlikable.

"Watchmen is a cult favorite among select nerdy fanboys and girls, but is pretty much an enigma to your average person" — so are the Frank Miller Batman graphic novels on which the Dark Knight was largely based. So was Sin City, Hellboy, V for Vendetta, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and even Iron Man, really.

How exactly did Watchmen "try to do something a little different"? It was a straight-up, rather unimaginative adaptation of a very popular comic book. That's not really all that ground-breaking when you think about it.

"I never crave watching it"
The highest of all praise!

The Eternal Sunshine episode was good only compared to other new episodes. It tries waaay too hard, though, and is awfully light on the laughs compared to the classic episodes.

Belzer
We always forget that Richard Belzer was regarded as a good, cutting-edge comic in the 70s.
