Except after 9 seasons of aliens and shit Carter decided in Season 10 that it was "a conspiracy of men" who were abducting people using alien technology. Lame.

The issue wasn't too few episodes, and I actually shudder to think of what would've happened had Chris Carter written more, given he didn't come prepared with completed scripts. Some writers can write on the fly, but he's not one of them, and because he refuses to use a show bible, it means we end up with continuity…
