Fair enough. Comedy is like that.

His relationship stuff is pretty sexist and does make me think less of him. I still think his comedy is really good. He exudes confidence like crazy. I like the bit in KoC where he takes the guy's coat and then makes fun of him for being in "computer school". If that was really improvised, it was some of the best

I don't know. My life is quite different now that my face is mutilated.

I rank them Reflektor, Neon Bible, Funeral, The Suburbs so I'm clearly in the major minority. But Reflektor is my favorite.

You don't like his set on Kings of Comedy? That was a solid movie clear through.

Moore's arc is maybe my favorite comics run ever. I like it better than his later, more celebrated work.

Mine would be 8. We'd probably both like action figures and superheroes, I guess.

Fair enough.

I love these frinkiac things. I got one in response yesterday and felt like I'd arrived.

Also, the stuff about the, uh, evitability of death is pretty boilerplate transhumanist stuff. Lots of technocrats are into that.

Yeah, supposedly he never even watches them (per that Woody Allen interview book that came out 10 years ago or whatever). I've always found that hard to believe but who knows?

Makes sense. I actually meant with the compulsive working, but you make a good point on the distinctions.

That makes him sound like a way less talented (and creepy) Woody Allen. I actually don't think that's such a bad rep to have, considering, and that's basically what I've heard about him personally—that he's a pretty nice guy.

WRITER VALIDATION

Without that last bit we would have missed out on a lot of funny Eric Bana. I was ok with it.

Stories please.
