Where did you check? Memory Alpha says "Starship Down" was 11/13/95 and "Little Green Men" was 11/15/95. Odd that they were only two days apart though. It looks like normally the show aired on Mondays, but LGM was aired on a Wednesday for some reason.

@LurkyMcLurkerson:disqus They were going to kill off Ensign Kim at the end of S3 to make budgetary room for Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine, but then stupid, talentless Garrett Wang had to go and get himself on some "Sexiest People" list (People magazine, I'm thinking), so they suddenly decided to kick Jennifer Lien off

Part of the advantage to that longer password is related to the techniques password crackers use. Before throwing brute force at a password, they first see if its hash matches any of the thousands of common passwords (and variants of them like 'pa55w0rd' for 'password') harvested from data from past cracks that they

@avclub-66a168785ed58b2b5955cea85954d669:disqus I actually just looked that up the other day, and surprisingly even though the orchestration was done by Andrew Loog Oldham, the song is credited to Jagger/Richards and they get the royalties. Keith Richards is apparently quite smug about it getting 100% and The Verve

@avclub-1281c02fa3b6de71a7896cda7f879c0d:disqus Good to know. I doubt I've ever gotten 1080p though, given how much stuff in my queue is TV rather than movies. Plus I doubt I have the bandwidth.

@avclub-c3420bfbd159b546b7ac7f38c6f7fa55:disqus My MacMini has HDMI, so Apple isn't 100% opposed to it. But DisplayPort (what Apple primarily uses) is an open royalty free standard, HDMI has pretty high royalty costs to manufacturers. And it's pretty easy to convert from DisplayPort to HDMI. As

My main beef with Prime is lack of subtitles/captions. I often have a one year old playing on the floor, babbling to herself and bashing her toys together. Captions on Netflix let me watch at a reasonable volume and still understand what's being said. It's also pretty much mandatory when my 60 year old dad visits,

If you want to get a Roku and you don't have wireless, you're probably going to have to get some sort of router (if you don't already have one) so you can plug both your computer and the Roku in. But if you buy a router, you may as well buy one that has wireless. Or as @avclub-33235e3d066bad95b6eea457826f7507:disqus

Well, YouTube at its best is 1080p, so I think it beats Netflix, which I'm pretty sure tops out at 720p. (But I could be wrong!) The quality on Netflix is really variable depending on the source. e.g. Star Trek: The Next Generation looks like pure garbage. It's like VHS quality; poor color gamut, blurry, etc. Not even

Geddy Lee agrees. Rolling Stone interviewed him and basically he said "It makes my mom and the fans happy, so that's nice. But I never personally cared one way or the other."
