I feel compelled to point out that the ENT theme is from the Shrek soundtrack. And being stabbed in the kidney is better than that song. I'm too lazy to find it, but someone on youtube swapped in the Perfect Strangers theme song, and it's only exactly as bad and stupid.

It's at least the reason (admitted by the production staff) she's in that particular episode. It is kind of jarring that she's introduced as one of Jadzia's best friends, and we had only seen her once before.
