I actually think grade inflation by fans is mainly counteracted by grade deflation by haters. After all, a user F will bring down a Community A much more easily than another user A maintains it. It's rare to see straight A's and anything less than a B- given enough ratings.

Hm, well I finally watched the last episode of Homeland, and yeah, that was probably the worst episode in the series by far, but holy shit do people overreact in the comments.
How pervasive are procedurals in the UK? I've heard of Law & Order UK and have only watched Luther, which is fucking awesome. If procedurals here were all as batshit insane as Luther than their popularity would be justified.
