Yeah, this show would have been awesome if it was struggling and forced to hone its ensemble instead of relying on downloads and crazy one-off episodes.

There's no way Charlie Day is over 5'5" or so. I saw him on the street, he was my height.

Rather than get shrill and exaggerated she gets quieter and quieter. The character could be played either way and I like the one she and the writers chose.

I like Judy Grimes because it's really just one very long joke and Wiig gets to underplay, which is her strength.

I keep forgetting they've actually been in a couple of movies together.

Dammit, I wrote this whole long diatribe and then my computer had a stroke and it's all gone. Time to write a new one!

Yeah, she even dressed like she was coming home from the gym, a Whitney signature.

… And then he takes a sip. Perfect.

I was not a huge fan of most of the Hawthorne Sr. material, but I did appreciate that it does explain much of Pierce's prejudices - he is exactly the type of person who is impressionable enough to believe everything his father spouts is fact, and pigheaded enough to spew it back with such self-confidence.

I don't know why it's taken me so long to realize that "Cougarton Abbey" is the laziest possible play on 'Downton Abbey," but I just did and it made me laugh like Beavis and Butthead.

Wow, an entirely reasonable group of AVC commenters. This may actually be what finally motivates me to catch up. Count me in too!

In the first season, the used to play their whistley incidental music sometimes instead, and it kept to the tone of the show better.

NewsRadio.
Homeland.
2 Broke Girls.

Another show where the transition to opening credits is frequently amazing, all due to that music growing in the background.

Cheers, obviously, to be a broken record. That's probably the only TV theme that I knew as a song before I knew it as credits music. I find myself whistling Mr. Show, Kids in the Hall, and Louie frequently.

Yeah, she really overreacted here. Also, Hayley is basically functionally retarded. How could Claire rest with leaving her in the middle of the California hills? And how was that supposed to help Hayley with her essay? I think the show overestimates how annoying Hayley is in comparison to Claire.

The thing about Phil and Claire I never understood is that Claire rarely if ever is charmed by Phil's bumbling-but-loving antics. Hate to throw this in here, but contrast that to Parks and Rec, where Andy's big-heartedness is the only thing that actually melts April's heart. That's sweet to me.

Screw you, Glee. How dare you use "It's Not Easy Being Green" for evil? I have now been forced to tear up over motherfucking *Glee.* Ugh. And it wasn't even earned. It was a cheap ploy to rack up sympathy points in place of character development.

It is so sad that I would easily believe that to be true.

Would this count as defamation of character?
