No, I think there would have been a problem. She had to learn to support Lane in the way Lane needed. When she does find out about the real Lane she uh…doesn't handle it well.

What about when Rory [spoiler] dumps him? That was great!

That's true - even her birthday party was mostly attended by adults, and she's clearly very comfortable with that.

Danes Anomaly

"One Step Beyond" was a great choice for the routine.

"Richard in Stars Hollow" is one of my least favourite Rory B-plots. I find it somewhat over the top when the town can't stop talking about what a perfect kid she is. I mean, I like Rory a lot but she's a smart, fairly awkward kid. The football team must be pissed they aren't getting the accolades.

I should save most of my comments for a couple weeks from now, but I just adore the bonding with Lorelai and Richard in that episode. Plus so many Jess shenanigans!

Well, I can't believe I'm agreeing with Sims, but Secret and Loans does feel like a filler episode.

@avclub-4f18f486a356810b3ef8008243bcba7a:disqus My dad took me to see Jurassic Park at about the same age. And look at me, I turned out alright!

I hope this means we get to hear him singing some Gilbert & Sullivan tunes next season.

It was the complete opposite of the Carousel pitch. I loved the symmetry.

"A few years later, he retreated into his factory and locked the gates. No one goes in. No one goes out."

I was really annoyed we never got closure on the Avon account. That was a huge plot point for one episode that was just dropped.

That trolling move to get Pete to drive the car was awful/great. I bet Bob Benson would bring up Hitler to win internet arguments at the drop of a hat!

Unfortunately I am way to busy with work to properly comment (on one of my favourite episodes no less!), but just wanted to say that The Bracebridge Dinner is when I knew GG had won me over heart, body and soul.

I guarantee this exists as a fanfic on AO3 already.

There's an interesting documentary that catches up with pageant kids in their late teens. One was still in that world (she was actually a coach) and was clearly having trouble letting go of it even though it had no future for her. The other hadn't been in pageants for years, was heading off to college and overall

She was also so right about the short haircut.

“Kids. Or people who like kids.”

That won't end well.
