I suppose you're right. But there really doesn't seem to be a scenario where "I can turn into water!" is much of a world-beater. My pick for what Buridan's Ass refers to (one among many) is the two groups chasing Malvo. Wrench and Numbers want him dead, Gus and Molly want him caught. Neither group is satisfied and each group suffers for it.

I always liked the Misfits better too, although they got up to some pretty rough shenanigans. There's an episode where they drop a bunch of unsuspecting parkgoers into a tiger pit for reasons that are unclear.
