@avclub-884c4beddd8c98bb3b016bdfcc1bcdf8:disqus Captain Atom partially shields her from the blast. She's definitely messed up, but she's twitching and making faint gurgling noises as J'onn says, "Tend to her!" and flies off to track the task force.

Even when he's sixty-odd, fighting R'as al-Ghul's son on a crashing airship.

Just want to note that the closeup of the dead pegasus is so detailed that it's actually a little morbid.

I would love to know how he envisions "ruling" a planet populated entirely by lizards, fish and insects.

They seemed to be pronouncing it "capoieta" the entire time, and I have no notion why.

Thank you for making me think of that. Fry yelling "This is a cool way to dieeeee!" as he's being flown off by a robotic pterodactyl is probably my favorite quote from all of Futurama.

Yeah, Galatea and Plastique aren't supposed to be dead.

I wish that were a written law. Like, carved into a cliff somewhere or something.

It really works best as part of the trinity.

There's about fifty hours of Dan Carlin's Hardcore History out there, and you're guaranteed to be at least a little better-informed about the world when you're done.

@avclub-6d8e5be200a835beb77d899f00b890a5:disqus Great point.

Aw, I liked "One Little Ship". It's goofy, but well-executed.

I'm sure that the Dominion behaves respectfully to its client states—to a point. If the Bajorans tried to insist that their new friends couldn't use a vital military installation because they were worried about mud on the carpets, well, the non-aggression pact might have been quickly reinterpreted.

He was in an untenable situation and he knew it. He tried to lie his way out because, what the hell, maybe the Voorta is an idiot.

@avclub-eb0814ec3adc1953e88a1a7420b7298e:disqus Good point, though the Dominion doesn't seem to advance technologically.

But he's so smart. Smarter than everybody else.

The GF and I watched about a season and a half of Fringe, and I really likened it more to a D&D party than hardcore suspense or sci-fi.

Yeah, maybe the Scimitar was even worse. After all, Picard's an intelligent fellow, but it's never been suggested that he could design a warship from scratch that could outfight any four ships you could name.

@AmaltheaElanor:disqus Oh, indeed.

I actually liked that take on Klingons. One of the few bits I entirely enjoyed.
