Yeah, it's "Digital Witness" for me.
Yeah, it's "Digital Witness" for me.
Come on, man.
Those were some nasty looking hash browns.
Your logic is as flawed as, well, Lost's.
Morrissey generally killed fewer dogs, too.
Please produce the official list of television shows one is required to have watched to review other, unrelated television shows.
Our Amazon Fire commercials are going to be devastated.
I love Damon Lindelof as a storyteller, and this made me love him even more. I assume everybody on the internet feels the exact same way.
"What will people be doing 3 years after 2% of the world population disappears? According to the premiere of the Leftovers, they will be going out of their way to make every conversation as bitchy as possible, and practicing their sullen faces in the mirror. Dull, pretentious, and empty-headed, without a sympathetic…
Pretty sure you're right.
I'm very happy to live in an era of TV where we can argue over which stunningly great, movie star loaded miniseries was slightly better than the other one.
Arrow vs. True Detective hurts my soul.
Once again, America is denied the Ambush Bug film it so desperately needs.
Just came down here to say that calling "The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get" one of the weaker songs on the album is certifiably insane. It's in my top five Morrissey solo songs, easy.
I've long thought the same thing. His animated shows are obviously lowbrow, but MacFarlane's a thoughtful guy with a lot of power and influence as a producer (see: Cosmos on a god damn network in prime time in 2014). And I think he cares enough about the franchise that he'd stock it with talented, appropriate writers.
So what I've learned here is that at least one AV Club staffer is unmoved by something I love.
I'm pretty sure that anecdote about the West Wing writers changing the election outcome to honor John Spencer has been debunked. It's something Lawrence O'Donnell said around the time the show ended, but other writers on the show have repeatedly said Santos was always going to win, and it's hard to watch that last…
One of my most anticipated albums of the year. Something about her voice just hits me where I live; there's a vulnerability to it, but it also sounds like it could level skyscrapers. And she tells stories about well worn romantic territory in such a raw, stark way that I never get bored with it.
Putting aside its impact on their career trajectory and commercial prospects, I just think All That You Can't Leave Behind has a half dozen or so genuinely beautiful pop songs, which were really hard to come by circa 2000. "Kite," "Stuck In A Moment," and "In A Little While" are simple, lovely gems.
That's an argument I never really understood either. The drum loops on "Mofo" don't make that song any less thrilling.
