The effects were incredible for the budget. How it could look so good on what it had (30 million? 20?) while so many others look like crap with 200 million is pretty amazing. I hope that effects shop has a long healthy career.

I just rewatched Watchmen last night, and I gotta say, I think history is going to be kinder to it than people were at the time. It's as good as a Watchmen adaptation could hope to be, almost. My few complaints are the acting of Malin Ackerman and Patrick Wilson, and the casting of Matthew Goode as Ozzy.
