Really enjoyed "Let's Go Eat The Factory" and I'm looking forward to checking this out.   Sure Robert Pollard's not especially challenging eclecticism is to be expected at this point (he has been doing this for years, after all), his solo work and Guided By Voices are the musical equivalent to comfort food to me.

Just here to pay my respects to a wonderful writer.  I used to read his books on the way to and from school during 9th grade.  "The Martian Chronicles" especially stands out.

I feel your pain, friend.  That's what I came here expecting to see as well.  I haven't seen that film in years, but I do recall some parts of it being pretty gruesome.

Considering how little I've heard of Paul Simon's work outside of Simon and Garfunkel, this album is a favorite of mine.  The title track's undoubtedly one of the best things he ever wrote and the sax melody in "Gumboots" gets me every time.  The album, as a whole, has a very pleasing middle-aged vibe about it.

I know!  I was expecting much worse letter grade than that.  Some of the songs I've heard from off of this album so far have been surprisingly pleasant if a bit on the bland side.  But, knowing my previous listening experiences with the Beach Boys (as awesome as they may be), it's only a matter time before I come

Yeah, it's a shame they ditched the half hour length.  I admit that there's not too much analysis to be wrung out of an 11-minute animated comedy, but it seems like somewhat lazy writing to just summarize things. On the other hand, I'm sure there are deadlines to be met and I'm not an internet reviewer, so what do I

I'm perplexed.  Aren't episode reviews supposed to have analysis of some kind or is "Metalocalypse" not really a show that's designed for it?  All I've seen is summaries for this show.

Part of the brilliance.  Let's not forget the contributions of writers like John Swartzwelder and such.

I find it quite sad that I know exactly what you're both referring to, yet take comfort in knowing that I'm not alone in my appreciation for top-notch dialogue.
