No parallel that I am aware of, it was supposed to illustrate how far-reaching Malcolm's influence is. He is the one creating/leaking the scandal in order to discredit her.

The Centre Point reference was spot on! Must have walked passed or around that building a thousand times and wondered what the hell is inside it yet have never bothered to look it up, until now…apparently Petrochina, the Saudi Arabian state oil company, EA Games and various other companies use it. The club Stewart was

That is a valid point actually, though ironic given that the Brooklyn set show I'm referring to has also been criticised for its lack of black characters I believe.

That was some classic heart attack acting from Alan Dale. He was also a Vietnam vet, a car mechanic who somehow invented a revolutionary fuel-injection system and he then became a Geologist of some type.

Oh yes, I'm not saying I didn't buy it. I just felt that however low he went, I always liked Malcolm 'cos I could see his behaviour as being in the service of the party or the PM, or the country even, but this week it felt so personal and bitter. I think it's pretty spot on, because as I said, it really made me think

Yeah I found his viciousness a bit excessive this week, especially towards Glenn. I love nothing better than a Malcolm rant but it usually comes across as being in the service of a particular strategic goal, whereas these diatribes came from a really dark place. It's exactly how I imagine Alistair Campbell really was
