I once (repeatedly) slept with a guy who wouldn't wear condoms because he "only wears them when he sleeps with skanky girls." Ughhhhhh I want to go back in time and slap myself.

If you like WTF, you might enjoy You Made It Weird with Pete Holmes. He has a very different hosting style than Maron, but it's the same kind of in-depth conversations. I'd also suggest checking out You Must Remember This and I Was There Too.
I worked in the mall during one winter break in college and happened to be scheduled on Black Friday. Talk about a waking nightmare. I'd never been out shopping on BF, but being an employee was enough to make me swear I'd never do it. Now, I'm one of those pesky "I only shop locally!" people.
Do you think it will be better or worse than NBC's previous two attempts? I'm thinking it might fare better due to casting and being a more modern musical than the others.
I told my roommate I'd wait and watch it with her, but our schedules are so crazy lately that I've given up and am forging ahead on my own.
Thanks! I was selfishly hoping people would offer some suggestions :) I have a lot of downtime at my part-time job, so I've been bringing my notebook and just staring at it. I'll give this a try!
I'm quite partial to the Meghan Trainor and John Legend duet, One Direction's "Drag Me Down," and I can't deny my love for Major Lazer's "Lean On."
I started running regularly about a month and a half ago after never having run outside of gym class in high school, and I might do a 5K next weekend! I definitely need new shoes, though; the bottoms of my feet burn when I'm done, and my shins are starting to ache.
I'm the same height and same weight; I would have slapped any personal trainer who tried to tell me I was obese.
My drive to write creatively is pretty much nonexistent, so I'm just trying to get the creative juices flowing again. I write for a living (journalist) so I think the problem is I'm exhausted from writing all day and don't want to sit down and write more when I get home. I'm trying to change that, though, but…
Hoping to binge all of Masters of None this weekend and get a decent start on Jessica Jones, too.
Happy birthday Judkins!
I read Bastard Out of Carolina for a class my freshman year of college…it still haunts me 10 years later. It's a phenomenal book.
I heard "Inside Out" director Pete Doctor speak earlier this year, and he reiterated that he and the others at Pixar don't make kids' movies, but rather movies they enjoy that also have elements that appeal to kids. I think the same can be said about the Star Wars movies.
NPR's Pop Culture Happy Hour is family-friendly, as is This American Life (they'll warn you if anything is "un-beeped").
Yup! One of its many iterations, and the one that lasted the longest.
They do. I can't stand how they taste, but they're magic.
In what I hope was some kind of karmic retribution, one of them had seltzer explode all over herself not long after my initial post.
I haven't started it yet, but I relish being able to binge Master of None this weekend.
Afraid to say too much for fear of jinxing it (yup, I'm that superstitious/anxious), but I think there might be an exciting development on the romance/dating front.
