I'm reading Malala's memoir; I started it Oct. 21 and I'm only on page 68. She's spending a lot of time on Pakistan's history and her parents' lives, which I guess are important to the larger story, but I'm having a hard time really getting into it.

I'm Boston-adjacent!

One of my coworkers is annoying me so much it's affecting me in a psychosomatic way. He also sits diagonally from me, so even when I'm looking at my computer screen, I can see him out of my peripheral vision.

I have a deaf Lab mix who often wakes up from a sound sleep and stares intently into the distance, like she sees something, or gets up from sleeping and runs into another room of the house as though something's chasing her. It's unnerving, to say the least.

I have to work on Saturday night, so I might pull out my tried-and-true flapper costume because it's still suitable attire for a restaurant host. Two friends and I went as the girls from Saved By the Bell last weekend, and my Lisa Turtle costume was pretty kickass, if I don't say so myself.

All of it - I'm a giant wuss. I watched Scream for the first time ever last week and watched the opening scene with Drew Barrymore through my fingers.
