Hey, it's pop music at its purest and most delightful.

Started Jim Gaffigan's "Food: A Love Story" on the beach this weekend. It's pleasant and very Gaffigan-y, though I suspect it's probably better as an audiobook.

I figure if I go down in all my nighttime glory - pajamas, retainer, sleep mask pushed up on my forehead - I'll strike up some sympathy in the hearts of these rowdy law students.

I never really "got it" until I started taking improv classes; now it's required listening every week.

Picking just one Liz Lemon picture was freaking hard, but the "Dealbreakers" episode is one of my favorites, so I chose a screen cap from her oh-so-awkward attempts to be fun and carefree in her talk show opening credits.

I had a wonderful, relaxing long weekend in Rhode Island with my family. (I had to leave early to come back and work while they're all still there, but that's a complaint for another thread.)

Julie Klausner has read one of my Redhead Hall of Fame submissions and an email I sent her on How Was Your Week?

All of those, save for OITNB, are in my queue and have been for some time. I'll get around to them…someday.

-Reading "Slaughterhouse-Five" as a senior in high school

I remember watching TV and having my parents come in and shoo me out so they could watch "The Dance" on MTV; I was 9, and so mad at them, but eventually became transfixed by the concert.

That's a new level of ignorance. I would assume that one would know who the president is even if they don't watch the news. She mustn't go on the internet or vote, either.

That was one of the first CDs I bought - that and Ace of Base. Tragic Kingdom still holds up; the other one, not so much.

That's a look I sported quite often during my days at a smallish liberal arts school in New York. I know Uggs are hideous, but they're warm and comfortable. I'll be 28 next week and I still wear my Uggs to work in the winter.
