I miss her podcast.
I miss her podcast.
I pictured it with far less windows/natural light.
Maybe "retread" was a poor word choice…I just felt like the two movies had a lot of parallels in character types/plot lines, the major difference being the decade.
I watched "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" for the first time this weekend and didn't love it. I mean, I didn't hate it, either, but it just felt like an '80s retread of "Dazed and Confused." It did make me think that today's teen comedies/the ones I watched growing up are so neutered in comparison.
I'm so happy to hear "Pageant Material" is good; I was underwhelmed by "Biscuits" and feared it was indicative of the rest of the album.
I watched "A Mother's Nightmare" on Saturday morning (also starring Jessica Lowndes), and it was balls-to-the-wall insane after only 15 minutes. "A Deadly Adoption" was too much of a slow burn, I think.
He was a greasy mix of Josh Jackson and Shane West.
I saw an advance screening of this a few weeks ago in a crowded NYC movie theater, with an audience of 95% adults. There is one scene in particular where the sniffling was VERY loud. You wouldn't be the first, or last, grown man to cry at this film.
Definitely not. I was as entranced at the closing credits as I was when the movie started.
I'm so sorry, Waffles. Is there any type of very low-impact exercise you can do in the interim?
Nothing new to report - still chugging along on "Going Clear." I'm at the point where Hubbard has died and Lizard Person Miscavige is attempting to take over.
I don't think it's going to happen until September, but I'm taking my first solo vacation to our nation's capital, which I've never been to. I'll be staying with friends but exploring all the museums and such on my own.
Midnight City always gets an upvote.
YES. It's absolutely amazing. I've barely played video games in my life, let alone any in the '80s, and I was captivated by this book. The amount of detail and consideration Cline puts into his world building is amazing.
-I lost 10 pounds in about a month! None of my pants fit! (Alternately: shit, none of my pants fit.)
-I've got lots of TV to catch up on this summer that I'm eager to get started on once I finish OITNB Season 3. First up is probably season 1 of True Detective.
I forget what brand it was, but I had a grapefruit shandy this weekend and it was DELIGHTFUL.
I'm on episode 5. I like pacing myself so I can think about each episode/read what others think about it instead of having them all blend together in my brain.
The "Dr…" portion of my library has a lot of country music…
I'm 27, and the clown scene in this movie scared the shit out of me. I audibly gasped when he came onscreen.
I was fortunate to see an advance screening earlier in the month…it's phenomenal. You will, indeed, fall in love with the movie and go through the entire spectrum of emotions in the theater.
