The thing that bother me is the way the entire Fox/Marvel/Disney/FF thing has messed up the FF in regular Marvel comics. For the first time since 1961 the FF isnt being published by Marvel. I very much miss the days when the FF was THE Marvel flagship title, and the FF were central players in the Marvel U. At least

See this is the interesting dynamic of the story. Wouk spends the entire book building up your hatred for the man (and Bogart only does half the cowardly and heartless shit Queeg did in the book) and then pulls the rug out by showing that the officers were in fact selfish and immature.

You guys don't get it. He gets a forever pass for 1940. Without him we have a least a Nazi domination of Europe for decades and a worst as he said "A new dark age."
I understand that some on the left wouldn't appreciate all his quirks but you should as least be like Orwell and "pay him what I owe him."

I would not call it white supremacy-more like a belief in the mission of his people. That may be splitting hairs but keep in mind that it was this peculiar vision that fired the imagination of those people in 1940-when all seemed lost.

Yes a stance more in line with the British populace than is generally noted.

He was a big imperialist. He was not unusually racist for a man born in 1874.

Not true. He was a man of his times in terms of race.

I Like Schwimmer! Thought he was underrated. I may be the only one….
