I can't believe that wasn't the picture for this week.

MAJOR SPOILERS

Even in Ye Olde 2006, Rick Santorum didn't like the gays. Amusing that somehow, that reference is not hideously out of date.

"We're doing all we can, but I'm not Jesus Christ. I've come to accept that now."

I tried watching about 2/3rds of the first season. It was awful. Previously, I had heard it was subpar compared to the rest of the show, not that it was flat-out bad. Watching it was not encouraging for the show's quality as a whole, so I gave up.

Yes, this. That episode in S8 addressed the issue so well that I didn't even complain that they were starting the whole thing over again.

I think Rob Thomas might have clarified who Sally was at some point, but I don't think it was ever mentioned again in the show.

To Fast… Or To Furious. That is the question.

Now I want to hear Tom Hardy sing "Louie Louie".

You would think the proper response to that experience would be to become Batman, not to write bestselling novels.

This is obviously a tribute to the classic Mr. Freeze ice hockey sequence from Batman and Robin.

Bane has nothing to do with the explosion.  By 2016, NFL pass interference rules get so arbitrary that the only way to be sure you're not committing a penalty as a defensive back is to stay a safe distance from the receiver while you destroy the stadium beneath their feet. Clearly, they haven't worked the kinks out.

Oh, Jesus, they did the "hit your head equals death" thing AGAIN. I fear for the skulls of the British. It must be their diet; if all of your food is pudding, how are you supposed to build a skull that can sustain a single impact without killing you instantly?

Joey, have you ever been in a Romulan prison?

This is the most absurd attempt to define the Simpson's' quality I've ever heard. "Highbrow"? The show was not what it was because of the occasional obscure reference. It's nice that the show made those jokes, but they were just a minor result of it having good writers, and had nothing to do with what made it a great

She didn't really set out to investigate the case on her own; that would have been over the line. Stuff just piled up at her feet. As the episode shows, jury secrecy is a joke in Neptune. The writers paid lip service to how a jury works, but this was not supposed to be a demonstration of how the jury system should

That idea would be much more profound if it were voiced by an image macro of a contemplative dinosaur.

Huh? Wesley Snipes is a pale Englishman, isn't he?
