INCORRECT YET BIG SPOILERS:
I heard Semi-Charmed Life on the radio recently, and thought it was shorter than I remembered. I checked the version on my mp3 player, and realized they took out the whole bridge. I was baffled. Was the bridge that much more explicit than the rest of the song?
The treachery of images, huh? I always fall for that one. Damn those French bastards.
That's actually not a sci-fi rule; that's entirely true in real life, too. It's just that no one has tried fucking a robot they were in love with yet. Blame Robot Catholicism for that.
It's full of lonely soles!
I will never get tired of the French dancing sketch.
The question isn't "IS our sitcom characters dimensionalizing?", but "When?"
"Rainy Day Women No. 12 & 35".

Chinese have many hells.
IT'S NOT BATMAN!
That wasn't a random old dude! It was Colonel Sanders himself! Show some respect; his unique blend of herbs and spices is vital to the nutrition of the Matrix's people pods.
His sitcom, Walken Back Kotter.
And they could choose the actor to play him through a reality show! But what would they call it…
I've always loved the Beast episodes; in fact, my first major exposure to the Buffyverse was the string of episodes starting with "Awakening". What about his wonderful taste in medieval Italian poetry?
It functions extremely well, both in developing Gunn's character (which has been sorely ignored) and in letting the team settle the whole Cordelia situation in a B-plot instead of taking up a whole episode's length with brooding and investigating before she's revealed as evil.
Yes, but with the Party Down revival out of the picture, that will make the networks even more desperate for the Arrested Development revival! Stuff the Internet Likes CANNOT BE STOPPED.
I really like the idea of Giles telling Buffy about Ben, but it needed a better situation than that to use that idea effectively.
