Jessica Jones - another one where the decision to have an abortion is presented as totally reasonable, free from guilt and indecision.

Donna Haraway writes about it, which is a nice tie-in with the episode titles.
Also the HIMYM writers' obsession with 'marriage and/or babies, preferably both' as the only possible happy ending was downright pathological. Like, why would Barney and Robin ever decide to get married except for cynical tax reasons?
I'm of two minds re: Rick and Morty - when it's funny, it's hysterical, but when they do emotional beats, it always feel really forced. Also they've somehow already overplayed the whole 'infinite universes where things are vastly different' conceit. Some episodes I really love - Lawnmower Dog and the Meeseeks episode…
Yeah, PD is one of my favorite shows of all time, and I'm really glad it ended when it did. The show was starting to fall into bad habits (like ending an episode with a cliffhanger and then ignoring said cliffhanger for several episodes.) I wish they'd known they were going to be cancelled so they could do a better…
@avclub-d019eb089e65903455cc52308f00b997:disqus I don't believe that sex work is inherently degrading (although in actual practice it often can be), but I think that Firefly's position on prostitution is a bit confused, and certainly not as straightforward as "society is completely OK with prostitution in the future".…

And now all they ever do is talk about how much they miss Firefly. Ugh.

Also, didn't she also do a movie about a woman who had a miscarriage or something around the same time? I'm not going to blame her for taking a few fun, easy paychecks after such depressing work.

God, it pissed me off how a. Matthew Perry breaks through to the quiet black kid whereas Hacky Uptight Woman couldn't get him to speak for two months and b. how Matthew Perry completely interrupts the older lesbian telling a story about her loss so that he can talk about his own wife. It's gross.

I think Chris O'Dowd's character in Bridesmaids was more of a grown-up than most male characters I've seen in mainstream comedies lately. Not that man children CAN'T be funny (Anchorman's one of my favorite movies of all time), but they so often aren't.

Another good Clone High episode to cover would be "Raisin the Stakes: A Rock Opera in Three Acts" (the overblown kids vs. adults conflict) or "Litter Kills: Litterally" (PONCE — although, more seriously, the Tragic Teen Death trope). Basically, any episode of Clone High.
