I don't get why so many films are using the found footage thing, having to come up with lame reasons for having people filming everything, when they could just go down the Rachel Getting Married/Your Sister's Sister/etc. route and just have realistic shakey-cam ahoy with no need for explanation.

Yeah, one of the important points of the book that seems to fail to translate to a lot of people who've read the book is that Charlie (Miller's character) coesn't hate 'normal' people, and wants to be one of them but lacks the social ability.

I've heard lots of buzz about The Sessions, and have been considering it a dead cert. Saying that though, I can't see how it'll be anything but a standard rom-com with an unusual premise.

I don't know, I like that films like Midnight In Paris and Moneyball can get a Best Picture nomination, when they would stand no chance if the field was just five. Even though they obviously won't win, I'm assuming the nomination provides at least a little spike in ticket sales/demand for the actors and filmmakers.
