There's a lot to be said for people who don't sound the way they look. That Chinese / Scottish girl in the Harry Potter movies wouldn't be nearly as adorable if she wasn't both. One of my favorite people is ethnically Philippine but was raised in Tennessee, and sounds like it. I'm wondering if my daughter is going

Begging for a remake as 'The Nigerian Prince', of course.

We also would have accepted "Sweet, dark and so hot you burn your tongue when you stick it in."

Strong, and silent.

No kidding - I'd probably be fluent in Korean by now if I didn't feel like my ears were being raped every time people spoke it. It's harsh, and for some reason everyone feels the need to yell.

Korean spoken by Texans is almost as good. It's like Peggy Hill teaching Spanish, but somehow more grating.

The Koreans have always been a sensitive melodramatic, histrionic people.

She was the embodiment of all of those "It's the people who don't give a fuck that change the world" articles.

something, something ::cease to exist.

Maybe it's not a 'war' movie per se, but The Best Years of Lives is superlative, and I recommend it to every returning vet I know. So much truth, plus Myrna Loy!

Don't we all, eventually?

I remember my old man waking me up to watch this, and The Guns of Navarone on different occasions. Both excellent movies.

Remember, folks, if you're home alone and a black man comes to the door, shoot him right away, or this could happen to you.

I don't even know anymore? I was pretty sure that the Jackie Gleason replacement was a)Cedric and b)dead, but I wouldn't have bet too much if it was a Daily Double.

One day, they're going to reunite the cast of The Honeymooners. That's going to be creepy and unnecessary. Just like this.

I was hoping that they left X-Men:Origins off of the title.

I've avoided the trailers. I'm going to see it drunk and try to pretend it's half of Cryptonomicon.

The two Mario Kart board games were pretty cool. One was a track with buttons that players pressed to move track sections, causing a marble to advance down the track. Kinda mouse-trappy.

Very Qarefully.

I hate this movie so fucking much and I haven't seen anything more than the trailers. Seems like another 'scary black guy' movie that's going to play right in to the Faux news crowd's favorite tropes.
