I'm guessing that the scene in the throne room feels Masterpiecey is because it's supposed to seem staged—because it is staged. The whole scene is a mummer's show so Joffrey will have a very public reason to annul his prior engagement and be able to move on to Margaery.

Also really enjoyed Ratner's Star as well as Underworld. I picked up Cosmopolis for about $5 when it was remaindered…and that's about how much I'd advise paying for it.

There are likely others, but here's the first one I thought of:

I'd imagine that Quark finds her rudeness and potential for violence to be somewhat appealing, especially since it's coming from a hew-mon female.

Gracias, Jean-Luc Lemur.

Of course, if you went drinking with Garak, you'd also wake up to find that he's got a cat-that-ate-the-canary grin on his face.

A close second to that, imho, is The Die is Cast.

Ah, didn't catch that.

I don't know. I wouldn't know whether to cuddle afterwords, or head over to Quark's for some synthale and wings…

Interesting take on Dax and Sisko as two potential portions of a love triangle, which isn't one I'd thought of before. Given the fact that Sisko knew Curzon Dax pretty well, I'd been left with the impression that he still thought of her as being a guy, and that his referring her to as "old man" was meant to reinforce

[potentially spoilery]

Okay, I'll just get this slow clap thing going. Who's with me?

Count me as another one firmly in the not-camp Garak camp. For proof, I submit the summer loving torture party that is "The Die is Cast."

I'm proud to say I had to look that up. And now all those painful memories came flooding back, you magnificent bastard.

If it makes you feel any better, we can go ahead and give "Move Along Home" an F right this very minute.
