[Don Rickles guffaws]
[Dean Martin slaps knee, spills some of his drink]
[Bob Hope walks on unannounced] "Mind if I play through?"

Ron Tutt and Jerry Scheff were part of the great rhythm section in this era. The whole band was great around this time. But those two are just solid. Watch Elvis On Tour to see them at work. The CC Rider and Polk Salad Annie are amazing. Scheff's intro on the latter just rumbles along. He played on a few Doors

I have not. But considering he helped write Lost Highway I really want to check his stuff out.

@avclub-3df80af53dce8435cf9ad6c3e7a403fd:disqus Wow! Even better. This is a great find. Thanks! I have those Tales that are out of print and all the Haunts. The Annuals are great because they reprint the original issues in full, and the quality is better than many of the other reprint runs.

You can find the East Coast Comix 1973 reprints on ebay from a few dollars on up. There are collected EC Annuals by Gemstone. They collect 4 to 5 comics in one and run about $10. There is a GTG on here that Phipps did. The bigger books mentioned in it are pricey (to me, anyway). These new fantagraphics editions are

To see the art of Wally Wood featured in this edition and then look at something like Gang Bang (it's what the title suggests) that he did in his declining years is thoroughly depressing. The contrast is remarkable.

I really wish Fantagraphics would release Creeping Death From Neptune: Horror & Science Fiction Comics

Nice to hear from you.

Still reading Lynch On Lynch. He's really not as bitter about his experience working on Dune as you would think. He loved De Laurentiis, Mexico, and all the actors. He alludes to having written the screenplays for Dune Messiah and Children of Dune. Those would be fantastic to read. He also mentions the screenplay for
