Their first commerical was all about how this coffee is for manly men who still want to drink fancy coffees, but don't want to go to la-di-da coffee shops. I remember watching it and thinking, "Have these ad execs actually met humans, or have they just watched a loop of Maynard G. Krebs scenes?"

Favorite Line
"I haven't seen that many angry dirtbags since CVS put the cold medicine behind the counter."

I've never seen The Godfather other than the edited for TV cuts (so I haven't really seen it) but I just got I and II from Netflix in the hopes of correcting that error. I wonder if going into it knowing it would be complex will help?

The Graduate
I saw it for the first time when I was 15 and, while I didn't hate it, I thought it was yet another self-important baby boomer movie, where the young characters are inherently better than their square parents.

The only Fellini I've seen is La Dolce Vita, and that put me off some of his other stuff. I was kinda disappointed because everyone I know loved 8 1/2, but I'm glad to see that I might have just pikced a bad one to start with.

The first episode I saw of AD was "Afternoon Delight." I missed the beginning, I had no idea what was going on, and I hated it. Then I watched the whole series in order and that episode is one of the best things I have ever seen.

Not Lohan. There's no nutritional value there.

And I hope we never do.

I liked the Ang Lee Sense and Sensiblity much better than the book. I'm not the world's great Asuten fan, but I like her well enough, but the style of the movie raised the material.

I also know that Heath and Jake won that for Brokeback Mountain. Somehow that's in my mind, and it pushed some math skills out to get there.

The way I understand it, nephrologists get called in when they know something is wrong with a person but they don't know what it is—I can see how that would appeal to House.

Thoughts
I'm in the same boat—didn't much like the first half, kinda loved the last while at the same time realizing that it was a cop-out. At the very least, it solved all my problems about House being completely pain free after such a short detox. And despite the fact that they have done this kind of thing before—No

The problem for me is I can no longer watch Seinfeld without thinking about what a horrible racist fuck-up Kramer is. It takes me out of it.

I feel the same way about Sylvia Plath—she will always be ruined for me by the legions of cutters with emo bangs who love her.

My biggest complaint is he feels the need to explain what's going on / explain the jokes, which is probably my number 1 commentary pet peeve.

Yeah, America Jr. should be fine.

In all seriousness, I think he'll die before he enters America again.

I like ABBA as much as the next straight chick, but Europe has a problem.

The Chinese gymnastic team is counting on this response.

I heard a rumor that he might have been involved in the ending of someone's life, but the information is hard to find.
