As I was reading this, I realized that there's been tons of movies and books that scared the hell out of me.

Get a bunch of purple (or green) balloons, draw angry faces on them, stick them all over yourself and go as the "Grapes of Wrath"

I'm just reading Dan Simmons' Drood…that could make a great series. Compelling characters, expansive setting, and plenty of room to add to the story, fill in the gaps and so on. Only if Simmons is involved though…
