If you don't mind foreign films, I Saw the Devil is a disturbing one. 
If you haven't seen Grindhouse, I'd suggest that for some fun.  For more
humor in your horror I'd add Tucker & Dale vs Evil.

If Barry has been made bionic and able to walk again, I would have been disappointed if Ray wasn't given the same treatment.  Especially when Dr. Krieger is a co-worker.

My Netflix helper
With the magic of Netflix and the interwebs, I watched and really enjoyed Spaced, The IT Crowd & Veronica Mars this year.

I'll second the mention for Harry Brown. I'll also throw in a younger Michael Caine 1971 movie, Get Carter. Never saw the Sly remake of it, but there's no way he could have matched Caine's performance in that film.

Uverse with/ no AMC
I haven't watched Mad Men (I know I probably should) but missing Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead series this October is going to suck.

The real challenge
When will they have a Dirty Jobs show where they have to clean to the hotel bathroom where Adam stays after a spicy food challenge?
