Oh fuck I forgot to put this in Stray Observations. Ikki has quickly skyrocketed up my list of LoK favorites.

That hair/mustache combo is definitely doing it for me.

He's wonderful. And is it just me or is he getting sexier? I really shouldn't be this attracted to a cartoon character…

Pretty much every dog-lover I've recommended Kinski to has asked me if the dog dies. I am just going to spoil it here: no dog death or dog torture anywhere in this book.

Seconding what Mister Evil says here. Everything is pretty forgettable up until Michael Gaydos comes back for the final arc, which captures that Alias magic just before the book is cancelled.

Bendis' Alias is in my top 10 favorite comics ever. Very happy to see the Omnibus back in print. It's brilliant.

I personally believe that Lapham is one of the greats when it comes to crime comics. Murder Me Dead is phenomenal, and I especially love the publication quality of the new Image reprint. (I have a soft spot for smelly paper, as strange as that may sound…)

Probably not. And it's on the CW.

I'm super excited for this. Love the creative team, and Batgirl could use a status quo shift.

I've got a comment lined up having to do with forever but I don't wanna show any bias or anything.

I would also have people recommend a specific creator whose work they're currently enjoying. It could be fun to ask everyone who their favorite colorist is. If people don't have one, that could segue into some discussion about coloring. Maybe someone in the group is really interested in that kind of thing and

Uh…they did do a thing. They did exactly what you said Marvel is doing. Put out a bunch of new solo series for their characters, no matter how unnecessary, so that inevitably a lot of good titles failed.

A truly insightful analysis of those huge differences in publishing tactics.

Seconded. A very well-down book that feels like classic Avengers with a forward-thinking line-up. Loved those Schiti issues, and it's probably the best work Land has done in years.

How is that different from DC dropping 52 new #1s in one month and seeing what sinks and what floats?

All those artists. Woof. A dated artist like Dan Jurgens is a very interesting (translation: not great) choice for a story that takes place in the future.

A new #1 telling an origin story makes sense. A year-long Batman arc telling his origin story is ridiculous.

Regarding FCBD Futures End: thank god its free.

I have no DC bias. I love DC Comics. I love DC characters. I think the current editorial mindset at DC is putting out bad comic books. I have a bias against bad comic books because they are a waste of my time.

This looks awesome! Thanks!
