Agreed. I think Hickman's best balance of plot and emotional character development was the Smasher story in #5. The artist shift at the end of this week's issue didn't help either.

I'll cover the Alysia reveal in Batgirl when it's something more than just one line. The reveal felt really clunky.

Her costume is so friggin good I can't handle it. I have a thing for artists that can draw realistic clothing, and McKelvie makes America look so awesome.

Kieron Gillen did a really good Batroc one-shot a few years ago, too.

New Avengers is a superhero horror comic and I love it. The building sense of dread is incredible. And I'm loving regular Avengers too.

You guys are the best.

I reviewed it back in 2011.

Fuck yeah! RuPaul!

My favorite thing about FF is whatever the kids are doing in the background.

Red Skull stealing Professor X's brain and becoming a crazy powerful supervillain is such a better backstory for Onslaught than what originally happened.

The way Allred balances femininity and masculinity in his She-Hulk is pretty amazing. Huge shoulders and arms, slender neck and hands, thick legs that aren't bodybuilder freaky.

They're both out tomorrow! And Aja's back on Hawkeye.

You are correct. I just learned what an Orion slave girl is last week thanks to this:

It's going to be tough, but if there's a team I'd like to have in control of that story, it's Waid and Samnee. I expect lots of tears.

I'm not a fan of the general direction of the Justice League books, and JLoA just felt a bit too contrived to set up "Trinity War." And my god, those folders full of superhero headshots are just ridiculous.

Ehn…there's a lot of female superhero costumes that I wouldn't consider all-ages. Gamora is like a green slave Leia.

I'm LOVING Hickman's Avengers run. I've already reread most of it. And I can't wait for Weaver's run, the art looks phenomenal.

LITTLE EDIE!!!!!!

I love that creative team. Make it happen, DC!

First off, huge thanks to Sonya for covering Young Justice during my cable/internet-less move. This episode is so friggin dense I feel bad for having her dive in to the deep end, but she did an awesome job.
