Ah yes, I forgot to mention Dial H. That book is so much fun.

Marvel Now-wise: Jason Aaron's Thor is fantastic, and Hickman's Avengers is pretty great thus far.
I don't get the Beast hate, either. I love Hank McCoy.
Shocker: when you put writers with artists they really want to work with on characters they love, the results are really great. I'm really excited for Brian Wood and Olivier Coipel's all-female X-book:
Jim Zub off Birds of Prey breaks my heart. I love Skullkickers so much. And replacing him with Marx, whose Amethyst was one of the worst things to come out of DC last year, is just sad.
I don't think he's dead, going by the fact that he's on future covers and he didn't have a health bar at 0. Maybe he just got his amulet ripped out?
#2 is when the story really comes together. Definitely seek it out.
Yes, I know, and the cover to issue 2 is Lord of the Flies and issue 3 is explicitly Hunger Games. Arcade says that he got the idea from kid's books he read in prison, so I went with Hunger Games.
He's pretty close to Peter in personality, but his circumstances are considerably different and he's a lot younger. I highly recommend the first Ultimate Comics Spider-Man collection and the Spider-Men miniseries.
Yup, Noel and I will both be doing Best Of 2012 lists. I think people will be pleased.

From what I've heard, it is indeed ongoing. Mignola has had a LOT of lead-in time, though.

He was all about making Peter single, but not through divorce. Hence the dumb Mephisto stuff.

I try to limit first issues in Big Issues, because that's what Comics Panel is for. Expect a nice long review of Hellboy in Hell, though, which I loved.

Six-issue Fionna and Cake miniseries in January written and drawn by their creator Natasha Allegri. Very excited.
