From episode to episode, a lot of characters will spin their wheels b/c the show is reluctant to fully embrace the old-vs-new issue about the future of the town. If they were to focus on that, this show could be great, and probably every character could have something to do.

The mysteries have all been lame, so far. The procedural parts of this show is just to fill space between story lines that have to do w/ Lamb and Sevino. It's called 'Vegas' and the parts that are about Vegas are actually sorta good.

I would be weird of my mom suddenly adored her first male nurse after being a stark raving bitch to all the female ones (and most other people in general for the past 40 years, probably).

I love the suave Cubano as much as the next guy, but Eli Gold is just trouble. Better lock up the womenfolk when Eli's comin'.

All the characters on your favourite show might not be good guys, or anyway might not be completely good.

    You noticed that, too, huh?

@frabjous:disqus  That "meaningful look" could have meant anything. "Oh my god, he's right." "This guy's full of BS." "What do you want to get for lunch." Anything.
And the dilemma for the defendant may be the question of his own personal freedom or participating in (if not leading) a fight for rights that are very

@DeteciveFork:disqus How does one recover from that? How much penance does it take to make you okay w/ the things you've done, for the reasons you've done them? Nucky has a long ways to go.

I wish when Jax yelled at her, Robin Weigert slipped back into her awesome Calamity Jane role and swore the paint of the walls. It's not like she's to blame for Tara smuggling weapons in for Otto to murder people.
