Barely. They're more like the hero's hobby at this point.

What new language did he ever have besides Russian (which wasn't even introduced this week, but in the pilot)?

"Suspiciously unconfirmed"?? He got shot in the eye! They showed us an arrow protruding from his eye socket!

Juliette's manager mentioned this, but why can't they get her mother into a rehab centre right now? Are they all full? Does anyone have a better plan than rehab for her? Can Juliette not afford it, despite owning vast tracts of land, mansions, Corvettes™, and $50,000 guitars? I thought Hayden Panettiere did very well

I think Teddy has very little to do w/ "The Juliette/Rayna/Deacon/Teddy entanglement." The other three are all pretty involved, but he has nothing more than (perhaps well-founded) vague concerns about Rayna touring w/ Deacon. I thought this, as well. Seems unlikely that Juliette does her own grocery shopping, or wears the store brand of fingernail polish (I don't know if they sell the good stuff in grocery stores, but I assume they do not). Maybe she's acting compulsively and she knows this will get her publicity, too.

I noticed that, too. There's no reason he can't want Scarlett to do well AND to land his own contract w/ Watty. Except that's not dramatic enough for prime time. I'll keep an eye on this plot.

Agree about Scarlett's storyline. Up 'til now I hadn't liked Avery much, but this episode definitely made him more than just an obstacle to be overcome for Gunnar and Scarlett to ride off into the sunset. However, I'm still expecting him to turn into a sleazeball and try to manipulate Scarlett into getting him a

I was expecting Rayna to chew them out for that song after the show, and someone to retort that she was just jealous of Juliette. I was completely prepared to come down on Rayna's side of the disagreement.

    Whoa. That's deep.

It's not often I find a review to be more entertaining than its subject, but this is one of those times.
