Actually I think it would be more appropriate if you say "IS TIME FOR SPOILER".
It's these little exchanges that made the show enjoyable for me! I loved how Londo acquiesced to Vir…and no that's not code
Knowing what I now know about Mira Furlan's experiences as an actress in Eastern Europe makes her portrayal of Delenn more significant for me. When Delenn is called a "freak" to her face it must have been how it felt for Ms. Furlan when she was threatened for being a Croatian married to a Serb.
@avclub-c0346985d8c2d12fd123ef7d6829dcf7:disqus Heinlein wrote a ton about sex in his Lazarus Long books (and if that wasn't code there's no such thing as code), and of course not only did all the women want to do it with LL sans bags, LL was kind of indifferent to it all, because you know, he was so self-reliant he…
By the way I am attending C2E2 here in Chicago, where Bruce and Mira are guests, and JMS is here with Patricia Tallman premiering their new comics company, "Joe's Comics". They had a great panel yesterday and I got to spend some quality fan-time with Bruce and Patricia.
The idea of using sex to close a deal or seal an alliance is an old one, I saw it used in a few Larry Niven novels, I have no idea if JMS was familiar with them or not. But sometimes I wish humans would just point out that sex is a very intimate thing among (most) humans and it's not something that's generally done.…
Yes I was going to make mention of that. Moll didn't do very much after "Night Court" TV wise, so always nice to see him in something. Like seeing Danica McKellar frm "The Wonder Years" as a Centauri girl…

I think it also showed that members of the religious and worker castes went with you when you broke the council and brought Minbari warships to defend B5. Though (and this may have been brought up before but my memory is really shoddy lately) I have never understood why there would be religious or worker…
As always excuses must be made for entertainment value, like the famous "whoosh" of the Enterprise as it passes by in the opening credits. But I agree that they handle physics better in B5.
I too served in the Minibar War
All pilots are required to log a certain amount of time in order to keep their wings. Even the base commander at Misawa, Japan, where I was stationed in '85-86, needed to log flying time, so it's commonplace.
Ms. Furlan's career, maybe even her life in her native country was threatened because of the Bosnian conflict, I really didn't know about that until just recently. Looking back on it, it must have been inspiring for her to work on a character that was helping to build bridges between warring races.
In a later episode, Zach refers to an antique gun as a "Slug-Thrower", I actually rather liked that.
Garibaldi, in "Spider In The Web"
RIP Paul. Pity they never brought him back, I wonder on whose side he fought during Sheridan's War, now THAT would have been an interesting sub-plot.
Still sounds like a geek's wedding vows
The problem is that the Sergeant-Major was barking orders as if they were all still in basic training: you don't yell at grunts like that when they're out in the field. Drill sergeants in the service are there to teach you to do things the military way and to see how you stand up under scrutiny and a little pressure.…
