Even though the promos had spoiled Saxxon's return, I was so caught up in this episode I forgot who imminent it was.

Because even with all those new factors, we've still had four male Doctors in a row. A 5th dude isn't going to make me stop watching the show. I'm saying not casting another dude is the most obvious way to differentiate 13 from 9-thru-12.
Because it is inherently political for a woman to be given a job
I would friggin' cry with joy if they announced Attwell
I actually found THIS week's discussion of gender pretty natural.
Yeah, that would have happened the same way if Missy weren't onboard. They answer distress signals all the time
At this point (it has been 12 years, if you are just counting for us revived series watchers) casting a woman feels like the most obvious way to mix things up. If they can do it for the Master (I can not stress enough my everlasting love for Michelle Gomez) they can have one woman play the part and it is not going to…
I was so on the edge of might seat in this episode, I didn't even realize the damn thing was ending already
The Doctor said he couldn't be sure that the TARDIS would landing accurately that close to a black hole
I don't know, maybe they could have at least lied and said it was a flashback or something. Like "We are going to show how Saxxon became Missy" not Saxxon is literally going to face off against 12
Simm's performance was fine (but seriously Gomez >>> Simm). He was mostly spoiled by his schemes getting way over the top back in Series 3 and 4.
It might be possible that a regeneration in-and-of itself will erase Missy's memories of Saxxon, or it'll be like Day of the Doctor, where 10/War don't fully remember meeting 11 for time-wimey paradox erasing reasons
- Man, I really wish they hadn't hyped the Master/cyberman so much, because that would have been a epic surprise. I knew I was in for a good time just having Missy on the TARDIS team alone, but this episode had so much more going on than that.
My glee at Rosa escaping and running over Vee is still with me to this day
Don't tempt these people
Weeds nosedived after S3.
She has to be at least 3 or 4 years older than me.
Trump lost the popular vote by about the same margin the polls said he would.
At this point, no matter what, Trump's base is only going to get more dug in until his policies have caused them direct and irreparable harm. And even then … sigh
Virtua Fighter was very accessible insofar as pick-up-and-play. But what stopped it from getting super popular was its emphasis on defense.
