To me that came off as "Just cross-cultural enough to not be subversive"

It isn't surprising, but c'mon he could be Emily Blunt's dad!

Cruise has certainly crossed over into the age range where he should be in a more father figure like role to any female lead under 38.

What I am saying is Smith and Robbie hooking up is almost like me hooking up with someone my mom's age. Thinking about the movie that way is gross.

When I think of her romantic interests its a string of white guys. Ashton Kutcher, Sam Worthington, Chris Pratt, Zachary Quinto, Ben Affleck, Bradley Cooper and that other dude from Alias I think

Ouch, that's close to my parent's and I's age difference. They were only out of college for about 3 years when I was born

I don't care that Singer reimagined characters that the comics are constantly reimagining anyway

Recently, I was more shocked to learn Kellyeanne Conway was married. Wow … somebody out there is doing that … just wow ….

Yeah, Jennifer Lopez is probably paired with white guys in about 90% of movies where she has a romantic interest. Off the top of my head Selena is the only one I can think of where she's with a guy of Hispanic descent.

Well, we aren't talking about skin flicks here. So a black/Asian Hispanic/Indian and so would count too.

Yeah, I had to drop that show hard early in Season 4. Olivia and Fitz has to be one of the least healthy relationships I've seen on television. I don't get rooting for those two.

Millions of people will see that scene having no idea what the lasso of truth is, and will figure it out pretty soon.

Scandal is probably has the most high profile interracial romance on TV right now. And Aisha Tyler on Friends predates most examples I'm seeing here. How often have Halle Berry/ Zoe Saldana/Thandie Newton/Rosario Dawson been romantic interests for white guys?

Getting married a year after meeting someone is one thing. But while it has been maybe 15 years since I've seen that movie, it felt like that relationship was still REALLY new. Like "Mom and Dad, I just met this amazing guy in month or so since we last spoke" new.

I remember being really confused by Romeo Must Die when I was younger. Like … it was a modern Romeo and Juliet movie … but Jet Li and Aaliyah hug at the end I guess. When I got older I was able to go "Oh, racism!"

On television at least, interacial romances are becoming increasingly normal (no matter what the show's genre, and in any combination).

For me, a person born in the 1980s, watching the movie far removed 1960s racial politics … what I remember being weird about the whole scenario was that they were getting married really fast.

Also Zoe Saldana/Ashton Kutcher in Guess Who

- Everything, Everything just came out this week, staring a white dude, and Rue from The Hunger Games all grown up

Yeah, the whole time Diana thinks the Aries is controlling the Germans, when all he did was give Dr. Poison, and Ludendorf chemical weapons to attack the armistice with. The war would still be happening without him, he's just making it worse.
