Okay, so between the lottery ticket and the Assassin's bullet dodging (or bullets that dodge), the series appears to be going all-in on the existence of Rules That Must Be Followed. I'm okay with that, although I was surprised they put a button on it after the intriguing drunk dodging she did just before - the

Probably doesn't want the corresponding attention, either.

I agree, yet I feel like I can never have proper perspective on DD s1 because (like the first Iron Man) it set so much of the paradigm and was pretty damn distinctive at the time. I rewatched it and still liked it, but even then I don't know how much credit I'm giving it just for being the first of the Netflix

See, me, I like it with the same script but ALSO the same cast and concept.

And in that way, he was actually a bit like Kingpin. One thing I liked about DD s1 was how it showed Wilson Fisk was an excellent underworld boss, but even with all his money, he never was quite able to buy taste. His saving grace, however (and where he differs from Cottonmouth), is that he realized that if you have

True. Counterpoint: They have all the other things.

I love you, Chipotle - you made sure there was more of me during college, and you're far and away superior to the Qdobae and Moe'ses of the world - but here's a better idea: Instead of making new things, just work harder on making sure the old things don't make people sick.

I appreciate the craft that went into this comment.

Fran Drescher.

Yes. I posted about this too - it's rubbery and weird.

I appreciate the reviewer's comments on the looseness of Loki's art style, which give me something to think on, but that style is the main reason I dropped the book. It's … gross. Every character just looks rubbery - the main journalist character often looks like she's wearing a human-shaped Halloween mask that's a

That Punisher business is what tips the scene from not good into bad.

Yeah, I rewatched after S2, and it holds up pretty well. Helped to clear some of the bad taste out of my mouth, although for me it was just the back third of S2 that gave me problems, so our mileages may vary.

I agree with you. I think the final run of DDs1 episodes are fine (I gave it second place!), if not up to the preceding season. The main weaknesses of the last episode are how it needs to stage the requisite Big Dumb Fight (and the kinda gimpy costume).

It's so, so great. And the delivery is so distinctly David Tennant.

Yes, they should all be Searching for Bobby Fish … er, never mind.
