Happy new year A.V Club community.
You guys are easily the best online community out there filled with intelligent, compassionate good people with huge amounts of insights (which is why the next 4 years is gonna be a nightmare especially for you all)

I would say he could have easily beaten Carter if he hadn't had to spent so much energy and money on fending Reagan off for the party nomination which should have been a cakewalk for him due to his incumbency.

Not related to Trump but still related to politics-
So this Monday will mark the 10th anniversary of Gerald Ford's death(who is also the most recent president to die) and I have been thinking a lot about his legacy and how he is kinda underrated and if he had gotten a term in his own right he may have shifted America

This year kinda reminds me of the old phrase-
"There are some decades where nothing happens and there are years where decades happen."
For better or worse (mainly worse) we will remember this year for a long time.

The phone conversations reminded me of Mad Mens finale where Don too had phone conversations with the important people in his life.

I just want to say how grateful I am for a show like this.In a age where flashy explosive movies and shows make the most money due to shorter attention spans of audiences it's amazing to see a show like this exist and prosper.
Also seeing how there are like millions of shows set in New York or Chicago, this is one of

I would say that the the first 5 episodes were pretty goddamn amazing and enough to ensure that it should have at least a spot on top 30 TV Shows of the year.

I think it's partly because of Netflix's release at once model and partly because the third season was a let down is why the fourth season hasn't been that much of an effect on top ten lists.

I kinda found it hard to keep up with shows especially in September and October seasons where the real life drama had become so massive that it easily began to overshadow any scripted show.

I hope The Americans get the top spot this time.
But it will probably be OJ

It's kinda tricky where to classify it which is why I just grouped it with the FX miniseries since they both complement each other very well.

I would say unlike last year where it was quite rough Game of Thrones was really really good this time. Sure it had it's flaws and everything but overall I would say it had some really exceptional episodes and after a long time I am finally excited to see it's end game.

Here's my personal list-
1 The People V OJ Simpson / OJ Made in America
2 The Americans
3 Bojack Horseman
4 Better Call Saul
5 Veep
6 Atlanta
7 Rectify
8 Game of Thrones
9 You're The Worst
10 Horace and Pete
Also a special mention to Colbert who I thought has become quite good in the second half, The Night of which had a

I am amazed how not one but two TV Shows aired this year about the Simpson Trial and not only are both essential and exceptional in their own ways but it also ended up foreshadowing an election whose result exposed a country whose two halves saw reality entirely differently.

It's weird to see how these movies went from mere enjoyable B flicks about car racing to critically acclaimed box office hits.

Furious 30: Coming to the theaters in 2061.

So is the franchise gonna end at 10 movies?
If it is this one is it's equivalent of Winter Soldier.

I wonder if the candy ass feud was just a way too hype up Dom going evil storyline.

So they put a trailer of the trailer?

There has been news that the Sheena Greitens, wife of Missouri Governor-elect Eric Greitens was robbed at gunpoint by a teen trio.
