So recently I rewatched Return of the Jedi after a very very long time and well… it has some problems. The first act with Jabba and Yoda's death is pretty great but then the Ewoks arrive and the movie becomes way too childish for the second act while the third act is uneven as hell. Like the Luke/Vader/Emperor parts

But Special Editions. Ugh.

It maybe a cliche to end a miniseries covering real life events on the photos of the characters while giving us Where Are They Now's but it always made me cry.
I cried when Band of Brothers did this, I especially cried when The Pacific did this and I felt tears welling up today on this ending.

It is amazing to think that when we heard all heard about this show our first reaction was that it would be another stupid show from Ryan Murphy.
It's almost strange how we we all expected Vinyl to be great and it disappointed us while we expected this to be shitty and it turned out to be fantastic.

I disagree. I think the second season has been an improvement over the first one

Most probably because HBO didn't want to piss off Scorsese and Jagger. And they shouldn't in any case unrenew it .
Seriously I don't like Vinyl much but unrenewing it just so soon after The Brink will make a lot of people lose faith in HBO.
If HBO can unrenew Vinyl, what's stopping it from unrenewing the 3rd season of

Ugh yes. It has improved a lot. I am wondering if the biggest reason to cancel it was because of the expenses created by Vinyl?

This is the 3rd show in a row that was cancelled in it's sophomore year and was paired with Girls.
Yes I still remember Enlightened and Looking.

Well, when this is not the birthday present that I wanted, HBO.
What's next FX cancelling The Americans?
Or HBO Unrenewing The Leftovers?

Does anyone else feel that nearly all Netflix and Amazon shows would have their seasons start off compellingly but it starts getting tiring by the end?
I mean I have watched all lot of Netflix and Amazon shows and I would say the only time I didn't feel any kind of fatigue was with Bojack Horseman and Transparent

I think no matter what happens FX will give it one final 5th season. After all Landgraf loves the show and by giving it another season nobody will complain. It will be like how HBO gave The Wire 5 seasons even though nobody watched it and due to that HBO is loved and respected among the critics.

Still I hope they don't extend themselves beyond 5 seasons.

Remember how in early 2000's The Sopranos and The Wire were considered the best of the best, And when they ended Mad Men and Breaking Bad were considered best of the best of Television.
I feel like right now The Americans is has that place in Television world which is kinda impressive considering we are going through

CHAINNNNN KEEP US TOGETHER!!!

Man I love this show but it has shitty ratings.
If it gets cancelled this year it would be the 3rd time an half hour dramedy in it's second season and having Girls as it's time block partner was let go by HBO.

Back in the 90's I was in a very famous TV show

CancerAIDS?

I wonder the reason that most of us A.V Clubbers hate Downtown Abbey is less because of it's quality and more because it gets more attention at awards than some of our favorite shows.
