Rot, Rock, or Rule?
Rot, Rock, or Rule?
no problem. enjoy.
not bad, not bad at all
Yes. Alice, Ribbons, Temple of Love, and Marian, for example, are all fantastic cuts.
If you like traditional metal you might want to venture more into early 80's Death Rock as well. Goth and Death Rock are all but interchangeable in many ways. I'm sure some purists would disagree yet that whole scene, constantly…
adds a sniffle
But when those fellas from Madison gets there hands on it, we're talkin' the most divine chore ever. Like milking cows in Witness.
Camp Black Sabbath could kick the living shit out of Camp Led Zeppelin.
Now that's a good hatesong. But Queen's discography I'm half and half on.
I can't wait for Whitesnake's induction cuz maybe tawny kitaen plows thru the induction ceremony in a jaguar.
I'm guessing Paul Westerberg may have been one of those shitheads.
Hard to say with quotes like this, "If you want to hit the bull’s eye you should do it with a bomb instead of a bullet." Simmons. Not sure when this quote can be attributed to him but then again I believe in Death of the Author for the majority of art. Regardless of their intentions or awareness their early work…
Word, although, I can with live with Frehley's…still, the rest, oof. The Melvins solo albums were better. But I'm still a fan of some shit off of Dynasty - Disco KISS, it's so gloriously bad, but not Beth bad…which is bad bad. It's really slim pickins though past the solo albums.
Where are those portraits of Lego women he was trying to screw? Just about every photographer I've ever known has a stack of tastefully done, 1 step away from erotica shots of attractive women. Showing my age again…they get posted on tumblr these days.
What would Mr. Hands do?
still paints an interesting painteen ::
dropdead. don't worry, there's a femacoffin ready to catch you.
Good work as always. Given the diversity of punk and its offshoots I think this type of cataloging and re-cataloging is necessary because there's no filter at the top deciding what gets heard. Plus with Nirvana blowing the doors open, the number of bands and various sub scenes tribbled. Having made enough excuses for…
Yup. Nirvana never got flack. I think some of it is guilty by fan association - there's Cobain worship on the level of Morrison mythologizing coming from some younger fans and you run across them saying some pretty dumb shit…esp on Melvins youtube threads, like stuff even Cobain would call bullshit on
Well Cobain could pull it off, unlike most the older punks I see these days who, armed with acoustic guitars, tour the country in hatchbacks after discovering Dylan or Blind Willie Johnson. You can't just fit any punk anthem into blues or country dress no matter how tight you tie the DIY corset.
Well, even if they did fund it adequately, all the money would go to glee club and marching band like it always does. My high school art teacher donated her intagilo press to her classes, we sat at elementary kids tables, bought our own supplies…I'm not too bitter, I just stab musicians in the ear with a paint brush…
