The wargames storyline reminded me of the story of the 2002 "Millenium Challenge" where a retired military commander participating in a hypothetical wargame in the middle east was able to successfully defeat the US armada. The US as the blue team and the insurgents were the red team

I'm probably going to watch just for the last line which a number of critics have been building up

If it weren't for the Dwight/Darryl subplot this would have been a full A episode for me. The Erin/Pete subplot worked for me. Gave some funny lines (even to Kevin who wasn't completely dumb for once!) and was a nice small step forward in that storyline.
