While I for the most part disagree with the purpose of Todd's article, I'm going to play devil's advocate here.

The best part is when it tells me when to laugh.

I've honestly been pretty underwhelmed by Todd myself. That's not to say he isn't insightful or that he doesn't have a good grasp on things, but I still find myself skimming through his pieces more than reading them.

I agree that him breaking into the neighbor's house didn't really make sense. Why didn't he just tell the neighborhood watch that he found the fingerprint connections? He is, after all, a forensics nerd. (I mean it would have got the wrong guy, but he didn't know that.)

See, I loved the Family Feud sketch. Much of that hinged on Hader's creepiness, but even the shear irony of some of the categories were great.

I wouldn't say this is better than the pilot, but it definitely worked for me. I liked the amount of heart that was involved in the Jay and Manny plot. It reminded me of, dare I say, Michael and George Michael Bluth?

Crash was a bad choice for best picture, but Brokeback would have been worse. Speaking of contrived movies, jeesh.
